A. Smile Gelati Overalls, The Holy Grail of 80's Vintage!

Here at Fashion Redemption we have happened upon a coveted pair of lavender A. Smile Gelati overalls.

Quoting the website "In the 80's":
When it was popular: 1981-1984
Description: Available in every color of the pastel rainbow, these candy-coated cotton overalls featured flimsy string ties at the top instead of the standard heavy-duty suspenders. The logo was an inverted triangle sewn onto the center back and sported an iced-cream cone with the words A. Smile on top and Gelati below. The only girls who could pull this look off were the snotty cheerleaders or drill-team members -- anyone over 120 pounds looked like a pastel dairy farmer. Pale pink was the most popular color at my high school.
A. Smile Gelati overalls are like the Holy Grail of vintage 80's clothes. They are so difficult to find and there aren't any images of them available online, we've searched and searched. We finally came across this lavender pair and we snatched them up.

  1. Dee Cee painters pants..material was white with different small fruits all over, like bananas, oranges and strawberries. Never saw another pair like them back in the day and have been unable to locate them from 1985 on

  6. I would kill for a cache of button fly, low rise, loose fit denim jeans. Not jeggings, actual jeans that don't creep and hang rather formlessly off my belt. Mid 80's Bananarama
